Women’s Health Program
IFH advocates women’s health improvement
Improvement of women’s reproductive health is one of the most challenging issues that must be addressed at the national level. Women’s health is important not only for women themselves, but also for their families and the community as a whole. The current demographic situation depends to a large extent on the way women treat their own health. Many of them put off a visit to a doctor or do not visit a doctor at all, thus missing the opportunity to get high-quality medical care.
While implementing preventive programs, aimed at improvement of women’s health, IFH pays particular attention to prevention of cancer-related female mortality, especially related to breast and cervical cancer. This is done through improvement of knowledge of medical providers in the field of disease prevention, diagnostics and treatment as well as social and psychological support to women, facing these life-threatening diseases.
